Meet The owner & director
After dancing professionally Daisy Case realized her dream was to share the love of dance with today’s youth. Dance has always been a positive outlet in Daisy’s life and she wanted to give back to her community by creating a safe place for dancers to express themselves and learn valuable life lessons through the art of dance. She wanted to create a place where young artists could follow their dreams of becoming professional dancers, AND where other dancers could dance for Fun.
At 18 years old Daisy’s first professional dance job was playing Kristine in the off-Broadway show of A Chorus Line. She then attended Cornish College of the Arts with a scholarship in the Dance Department. While attending dance college Daisy worked as an assistant instructor with Pacific Northwest Ballet summer program. During her training years Daisy was hand picked to be a dancer in a PBS Documentary on a professional choreographer. While training Daisy auditioned and was accepted several times into The American Academy of Ballet in New York, where she trained each summer until attending Cornish College. Daisy has also performed on several Carnival Cruise Ships, performed in Disneyland and Disney World, was a titlist for several dance awards and represented the Pacific Northwest in New York/Las Vegas/Florida/North Carolina/New Jersey and Canada.
After all these opportunities Daisy took over High Step Dance Academy. As the owner she was scholarshiped, by taking Desmond Richardson’s class at a local convention, to train in the Broadway Dance Center Teacher certification program in New York City.
Daisy’s students have accomplished many spectacular opportunities such as the following:
American Ballet Theater Intensive, American Academy of Ballet, Bolshoi Ballet Intensive, The Rock Ballet & Jazz Intensive, Cornish College of the Arts college acceptance, Joffrey Ballet & Jazz Intensive, AMDA acceptances, Radio City Rockettes intensive, NIKE Dance Ambassador, 11 Dance Company, Nonsense Dance Company principal dancer, Lyrik Dance Company dancer, Several College/University Dance Captains and members, Title Holders & High Score Award Winners at several national and international dance competitions.
Daisy takes pride in her dance studio and has a strong policy to keep the drama out. She believes in the power of positivity, rules and information to create success!
